Is it drugging your child

to give him Rooibos tea to make help him go to sleep? We are on day 7 of Liam being awake until at least 10:00 PM. And then of course being a bear to wake up the next morning.

His solution? Stop waking him up when he's so tired in the morning.

Ummmm.... not happening buddy!

I've heard some SPD-expert doctors recommend either melatonin or coffea cruda for kids who have difficulties falling asleep......... never had to try either on Em as she (thank goodness) tends to fall asleep easily and sleeps like the dead all night.

Just a thought if the tea doesn't help! :)

I had to laugh at his solution.

Good to know it isn't just Zilla who's doing this. Maybe we need to email each other when one of the boys does something. It seems they tend to follow each other. Must be an age thing? I'm grasping at straws here. Let me know if the tea helps, or if he'll even drink it. I doubt Zilla would!

Rooibos herbal tea is very healthy for the body and contains no caffeine. It should be completely safe for a child. Fyi, Wisdom of the Ancients, so I've heard, has one of the few pure unflavored rooibos herbal teas available. If I were to try it, this is the one I'd drink. To my knowledge, it is a good quality brand.

Of course, you may have your own favorite brand and that should be fine for your child too!

Good luck! Whatever you decide to do, I hope you child gets to sleep better!
