Today is the 100th day of school for Liam's class. Everyone had to find 100 things, count them and bring them into the class to show how big or how little 100 things can be.
Liam brought in 100 Pokemon cards. I'm glad that he picked something small and manegable and not say, 100 Webkinz or 100 Bionnicles or even 100 Hot Wheels (and yes, he could do all of those..... maybe not the Bionnicles, but it would be close!)
It will be interesting to see what everyone else brought in.

Kiddo's school does a 100 Days celebration too - her class has to each make a mobile with 100 things (in groups of 10 as they're presently learning about counting by 10s in math) on it to bring in by 2/24, which is their 100th day. Apparently one of the boys in her class is the youngest of 4, all of whom have gone through the same elementary school, and starting with his oldest sibling, his mom has brought in 100 helium balloons for the 100th day. She said once she did it with the first kid, she's had to do it for each of her other kids. They live less than a mile away so they walk the balloons in one GIGANTIC bunch to school that morning. I think I'll drive over to school to watch that, LOL!
Kiddo chose 100 beads out of her bead box, which she sorted out in groups of 10 and strung. Not too unwieldy, thank goodness!
We never did a 100th Day thing when I was a kid, but now I'm hearing about them all over...
:)
Tita is doing a 100 days thing sometime this month as well.
